The Art of Social Media

Image
In the class I took this semester, which is Social Media Principles, I have learned a lot of ways that people engage in social media platforms for businesses and the social life among others. We have also read three books that helped us understand the dynamics and aspects of social media networking and how to use each of their platforms. My favorite book we read this semester was the first book we read together as a class. It's called "The Art if Social Media".  This book explains the proper fundamentals of how people become a certain role model on their social media platform. That is using strategies to maintain a positive image about themselves based on the content that is on their profile, which is their bio, their posts, the profile picture and the engagement from the person. I have personally learned a lot on how to integrate social media and blogging from this book because we have implemented that in this course. I was never sure what blogging was until I took

Finals week!

It has come down to the wire right now. I am to finish off this semester strong and earn a good grade on my final papers and exams. This is the toughest time of the year for myself and many students because this time requires sacrifice and commitment to study for the hardcore exams. As for me, I am under the pressure of doing well on last exam for Philosophy class because that is the only test that can bring my grade up to a passing grade overall in the class. However, if I keep a positive attitude and be consistent with my studies than I will be okay. This blog goes out for all the students of Ohio Northern (ONU) or any other college. It's important to manage your time well and use your time efficiently to study for your exams. It's also important to develop good study habits to get the opportunity to pass, if not, ace the exams for those classes. Best of luck to you all!

The "top tweet" of 2017

Image
On September 23, 2017, LeBron James made a tweet calling President Trump a bum. This tweet has risen to more than 650,000 re-tweets and more than 1,500,000 likes. This happened to be on the top 10 list of the most re-tweeted tweets of 2017. President Trump has four million more followers than LeBron and he doesn't even get more re-tweets than LeBron does. This tweet by LeBron was a response to President Trump earlier in the day of not inviting Stephen Curry, a Golden State Warriors' player, from the customary White House reception for the reigning NBA champions. Below is the tweet from LeBron to President Trump: Any thoughts on this tweet?

Thanksgiving break '17

Image
For Thanksgiving break, I didn't go home like every other student did. In fact, I choose not to go home in Miami over Thanksgiving break. Yeah, it would've been nice to reunite with my family and have a feast with them back in my hometown. Instead, I had went to Chicago, aka "Chi-Town". I was given this opportunity because my friend had asked me to come. Let me be more specific. It was my girlfriend that had asked me to come home with her and spend time with her family. There was no way I could say no! She is a student at Ohio Northern (ONU), like myself. Her father had drove to pick us up from school to drive back to the city. We stayed in Chicago for the whole week. We took a drive around downtown, hung out at navy pier and had pizza! Overall, I had a blast and was fascinated by the city. I would recommend anybody to take a trip to Chicago to explore the different landmarks and locations the city has. The city is ginormous! That was my first time visiting Chicag
