Chapter 1 in "Measure What Matters" speaks how you can now measure everything there is to know about business in social media, but without the metrics, you have absolutely nothings because those metrics is what matters to your business. Business is about having the right stakeholders who will develop a bold foundation through customers, employees, and the entire sales force. Social media isn't necessarily about the media itself. Rather its about the community in which you do business with. The way we truly get clientele is by having face to face contact with customers because customers talk to and trust each other more than they do companies. In order for companies to innovate more effectively and operate more profitable, it is essential to listen to and evaluate what your market is saying to you.

Many students often struggle with preparing for a challenging exam. The problem with many students is that we often procrastinate and wait last minute to cram all the test material in our heads before the actual test. Truth be told, that strategy is never helpful because studying for a test takes time and effective reviewing beforehand. Cramming for an exam only puts more pressure in your brain that does not cause you to think clearly. In order to succeed on an exam, it's important to follow the simple steps to study well. Below are my 10 strategies for studying effectively: 10. Stay hydrated, eat the right foods, and make sure you're getting enough sleep (nutrition). It is important to be energized when comprehending the test material in order to remember more vividly.  9. Begin studying for the exam a few days before. This will make you feel slow paced, relaxed, and less pressured when studying the test material.  8. Study in a quiet place. Reduces distraction

As the entire social media generation uses specific platforms for business such as LinkedIn or Facebook, people fail to recognize Instagram allowing you to create a business profile. Instagram business profiles allow you to promote certain photos that give people a general idea of what your business is like based upon certain events, the structure, and a foundation of your specific line of work. For example, many people who are exercise trainers use their profile to develop clientele by posting their own workout videos and before-after pictures by a certain amount of clients they work with.  Instagram also allows you to view your current insight status on your business profile. That insight tab that is located to the top right on your profile page allows you to see the numerical amount of impressions, reaches, and profile views. This week's reading was based on Chapter 7 on the Social Media Marketing textbook. This chapter was about local reviews about public places. In other words, the chapter is about looking for customer approval before entering a public place. Yelp has made that very helpful for customers to "talk back" by sharing their positive and/or negative reviews about all sorts of local businesses. The two most common businesses that people like to seek approval from are restaurants and hotels. People seek desire for great hospitality in customer service and high quality food in the restaurant business and people . However, there are some reviews that are overly critical about the place. For example, one person giving a review might be very picky with customer service and would say that the employees were not at their highest performance but had great hospitality. In today's society, the majority of people get carried away with thinking they wouldn't be at certain places without social media. For example, the reason why a person gets a job is because a person on their social media platform was introducing their business company to get their followers to join their business. President Trump has stated that he would not be where he is today with out social media in general. According to an article on VOA News  , President Trump defended his regular use of social media and said that he may not have won the White House without it. He is specifically referring to the use of Twitter because this is his platform of choice. It's also another way to keep the people updated on what is going on and his current plans. This is a video I made about some of the things that Ada has to offer. Ada is a nice, quiet, and small Midwest village located in Northwest Ohio that is 20 minutes west from the city of Lima and an hour and a half away from the city of Columbus. The village of Ada will bring absolutely nothing else but charm and delight. The town itself is mostly known for having a well-known college that many students attend: Ohio Northern University. Students who live on campus make most of their living in Ada. An interesting fact about Ada, is it's home of Wilson Football Factory which makes footballs for the NFL. Although Ada isn't a name many people nation wide have heard of, the village is unique and very subtle for anyone looking to enjoy and kick their feet up!

As more people begin to scroll through their posts of interests made by other Pinterest users, they develop more ideas. Ideas that can satisfy their needs in any particular thing whether it is based on their personal interest or something else that's a general form. People nowadays use pinterest as a major shopping source to gather ideas on materials that they would like to own that would make them satisfied and make their lives "easier". For example, a friend of mine found a great tool on Pinterest that's made for folding clothes. Most of us have to fold with our hands and that can be a bit frustrating because most of the time that shirt or pair of pants may not fold properly. But with this tool, you are guaranteed that you will have the clothes folded perfectly! Pinterest contains all sorts of ideas and products you thought never existed. 

Lately I have been having issues with connecting to the wifi on campus. Because I can't connect to the wifi here, I am unable to complete my assignments at the time I would like for them to be complete. Most of my assignments are done by Moodle, an online school source. I would turn my assignments through that website. There are some suggestions if the same incident occurs with you: -Begin typing your assignment through Microsoft Word (which doesn't require internet) -Use the computers at the library -Contact I.T. (Information Technology) Those suggestions may be used in order to get your homework done on time. Also, I am a Netflix user. Every time the wifi at ONU acts up, I am unable to access my movies and T.V. shows. I am not the only student that struggles with this issue. Dozens of people that I associate with are facing the same issue. With the high quality resources that ONU has, I really think that this needs a critical fix. 

Any social media platform you may think of has updates on what is going on in our world whether its Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, or Twitter. In other words, both national and local news is shared on social media. Depending on where you are located, the social media platform you are using will automatically engage in the news events that are occurring in your residing area. Personally for me, I was never into watching the news on the television or reading the newspaper. Therefore, I was never entirely informed on the events that were occurring. However, ever since I became a heavy user on social media, I have always been up to date on current news events. Because social media has become a powerful source in producing news media, more and more people neglect the use of watching television and reading the paper because they have become adapted to using social media on their gadgets. Facebook is a great source to engage in when socializing with family and friends. In addition, Facebook is also a great platform for business networking. However, when mentioning networking through business, LinkedIn is strictly meant for that. According to the text on p. 92, business networking is “the number one activity through LinkedIn marketing”. LinkedIn simply allows you to approach any businessman to make yourself known to them and let them know your business marketing objectives. This may get them to work with you and help you enhance your business works. Business networking on Facebook is only based on the people you know or recommendations given by another party you are familiar with. Anybody on Facebook can approach any businessman for networking opportunities. Their business profile information could be real or a scam. I occasionally receive messages from strangers on Facebook to invest in their business, and word of mouth is that they merely want to rip people

It is Fall break 2017, and nearly all the students went to their hometown during the break. The majority of the students have the opportunity to take time off of school to go home and spend the weekend there. However, noticed how I said "majority" and not "all". The reason I didn't say that all of us can go home is because us football players have to stay for Saturday's game and for practice the next day. Most of us were bummed out because it would've been nice to take more time off. But at the same time, we knew we had to take care of business together on Saturday. And that was to beat Capital University. When Saturday came, Capital University came to us for a home game for a 6 p.m. game. The game took about 3 hours. Their team brought a challenge, but we were able to attain a victory by winning 51-21. It was a great night for us as a team, and we performed in a way that gave ONU itself a great image. It all started when I was in 5th grade year back in 2008. At that time, Myspace was the most popular social media platform, and every single student in my 5th grade class had an account. Because of Myspace, the majority of the students in the school got to know each other better and arranged more events to participate in outside of school. Myspace also helped those students enhance their image by adding their interest, the style of their profile, and the song that covers the layout page. I would never forget how cool I thought it was by having that one song that characterizes the profile layout. I also thought it was a brilliant invention to use any picture or content of interest as a profile background. Back in the day, it was like I competed with my other friends to see who had a better looking profile layout. After reading this chapter throughout the week, we have learned a lot how to use Twitter better for our live tweets and keeping our followers updated based on what we post. Twitter allows us to see just about every detail about what is going on with the people we follow. This is because most of them tweet about everything that is going on with them along with other tweets that have to do with their interests. This gives people a great opportunity to engage in their tweets such as liking and re-tweeting.  Twitter is also a great news platform. Every time I go to Twitter's search engine, I can see the following trends and news that is currently occurring. We have the opportunity to get updated on what is going on in today's generation. 

The ONU marching band is playing a huge role in gathering a ginormous amount of people from different backgrounds and gathering together to perform together as a unity of the marching band itself. This is a great way for all types of students who are of a different culture or setting to get to know other students and form diversity as a group to represent the college. Music itself is an amazing way to bring people together no matter what type of background they have because when it comes to music, every one playing their instrument is on the same track. There is NO SEPERATION! Together the people performing share the same goals and ambitions while playing their piece to the music, and that is to collaborate with each other and combine the musical into a spectacular piece. Considering that people develop instant gratification in the activity in playing video games (especially if they are online games) and using social media, both of those activities are preoccupied by the majority of people in this generation. However, the use of social media  is constantly changing the generation based upon high usage. The fact that our generation changing due to the high usage of social media gives the entire video game industry a higher competition.
